( POST EIGHT )

MISE-EN-SCENE

These are some stills that we have created after looking into mise-en-scene and what it means. Therefore, looking at the setting part, we decided to make it black and white, (this also looks into a film noir genre) because we felt it made the still look a lot more moody and unclear. Our quick story itself is more of a thriller so we had to also consider the figure movement and expression, however we ended up creating more of a silhouette final outcome. The plot isn't explained well in the images, we did this on purpose because we wanted it to be left open so that the audience will want to know more. We chose to use these photos because we thought that they picked up the natural light from outside really well, through the blinds, and it looked even better in black and white. The costume and make-up doesn't take a big part in these stills because the people are more silhouettes and the audience are unable to see their faces in any detail.
